Drama and Androgyny
Fashion hair for 2013 is believed to take a controlled polish look, as opposed to the “beach-y”, bed-head look. Dramatic cuts, using techniques like undercutting and texturizing, will appear slicker with more shine. A kind of androgyny will be popular for women (check out Miley’s new do).

” We’ll see a balance between the classic and the modern; funky yet clean; more polish, less grunge; general, yet exaggerated” one stylist was quoted saying.

Just as fashion and art inspire hair trends, colorists and stylists at Rapunzel’s are inspired by the outside world. Keratin Smoothing Treatment

Is the Keratin treatment safe for my hair?

Rapunzel’s Salon uses the safest Keratin treatment on the market.

Will Keratin make my hair flat?

The first few weeks after the treatment one’s hair will not have as much body as it usually does, but after it has been shampooed 4 or 5 times, the hair will bounce back with its usual body.

What will the treatment do to my hair?

It will smooth out most frizz, cut down drying time and it will loosen one’s curls. The treatment will not completely straighten one’s hair.

Can I receive treatment if I have color-treated or relaxed hair?

Yes, it is safe for most chemically treated hair.

Before booking an appointment, what should clients know?

The treatment takes between 2-3 hours, depending on the length and thickness of one’s hair. The client should know that after the treatment, the hair can’t be washed for 3 days, or get wet in any way (vigorous exercise, etc).

Post Keratin treatment, what is the best way to take care of your hair?

The one requirement is to use sulfate-free shampoo post treatment.

How long does the hair stay fairly straight before a follow-up treatment is needed?

The Keratin treatment usually lasts 3 months after the first treatment. It will last longer if you wash your hair less frequently. After your first treatment, the treatments seem to last longer because there is a cumulative effect on the hair.

Feather Extensions

How Much Do They Cost?

Pricing starts at $30 (included 1 grizzly feather, 1 solid colored feather and installation.) Additional feathers can be added for an additional cost.

What Color Feathers Are Available?

We have feathers in variiuos colors. From natural to fun and flirty. Feathers can be colored to achieve the color you are looking for. Our feather lengths range from 3-18inches.

Can I wash, Flat iron, Dry, or curl my hair?

They can be brushed, blow-dried, straightened and curled (up to 450′f). Feather extensions can be treated as if they are natal hair.

How long do they last?

With proper care feather extension can last up to 2 months.

How are they removed?

Make a quick 15 minute appointment and the salon can remove them for no additional charge.

Can I put them back in once they are out?

Once the feathers are put into your hair they are yours to keep. You can have them put back in at out salon for a $10 installation charge. (This is for the cost of keratin bond, not additional feathers.)

All Feather sales are final. We cannot guarantee any feathers lasting a certain time in your hair due to the fact that they are natural fiber.
